Fr. Acevedo Update

From the Pastor: As many of you already know, Fr. Acevedo left St. Eugene’s early last week. He travelled back east to begin a program designed to help clergy who have allegedly experienced demonic attacks. Because of the serious nature of this situation, it was imperative to act quickly, which therefore resulted in his somewhat sudden departure. As Catholics, we know that demons are real and that, at times, they manifest their malevolence in a variety of ways. Fr. Acevedo will be receiving the very best of care from experts in this field so that he may one day continue his priestly ministry with renewed health, energy and vigor. If you hear anything other than what you are reading here, just be aware that in situations like this, it is often easy for rumors of misconduct, etc. to flourish. I assure you, that in Fr. Acevedo’s case, there was no conduct of an immoral nature of any kind involved in this situation. Please include Father in your daily prayers as we ask our Lord to deliver him from any and all malevolent forces.
