As a community we recognize that ours is a participatory faith. We encourage all parishioners to take an active role in joining the Saint Eugene's family by considering the many volunteer ministries and social groups offered in the parish.

Spiritual Ministries
Adult Faith Formation
Not in session at this time.
A weekly study group for adult men and women to deepen their knowledge of Catholic Faith. Meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
Bible Study
A weekly Bible Study for adults. Meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and repeats with a different format on Friday mornings 9 a.m. - noon.
Legion of Mary
A spiritual group for adults who engage in prayer and outreach to the sick and homebound. Meets weekly on Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 p.m
Men’s Chant Schola
A group for men wishing to learn Gregorian and other types of chants in Latin & English. Meets weekly on Thursdays 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Our Lady of Grace Sodality
A spiritual group for girls aged 13-18 studying Jesus through Mary. Girls begin a life of prayer & imitation of Our Lady. Meets twice monthly on 1st & 3rd Saturdays 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Prayer Network
Individuals who privately pray for those who contact the parish with special prayer requests.
Women of the Word
A weekly scripture study group open to women of all ages. Meets on Tuesday mornings 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Service Ministries
Adoration Committee
Volunteers who schedule committed adorers for the Adoration Chapel and who clean the chapel.
Cathedral Books & Gifts
Volunteers who help sell new books & gift items at the onsite store to raise money for the parish. Learn more about the Gift Shop »
Cathedral Thrift Shop
Volunteers who process & sell donations of used items at the onsite store to raise money for the parish. Learn more about the Thrift Shop »
Saint Vincent de Paul
Volunteers at the SVDP-St. Eugene’s office who provide food services to the needy.
Hours: Tuesdays & Wednesdays 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Social Ministries
Boy Scouts – Cub Scout Pack 44
A cub scout group for Catholic boys in grades K – 5th.
Catholic Youth Organization
A recreational basketball league for boys and girls in 3rd – 8th grades and adult coaches.
Coffee Social Hospitality Committee
Volunteers who prepare & serve coffee & donuts after Sunday morning masses.
Golden Opportunities
Programs & lunch for the retired and semi-retired to foster religious, social, and fraternal relationships. Meets monthly, third Thursday, 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Religious Education and Sacramental Preparation Ministries
Reconciliation & First Communion Teachers
Volunteer teachers who prepare children for these sacraments at weekly classes during the school year.

Liturgical Ministries
Acolytes and Altar Servers
Adults and children who assist the clergy at Masses.
Altar Society
Volunteers who care for altar linens, vestments & flowers and do some church cleaning & decorating for liturgical events.
Cathedral Choir
Adult singers who provide music every other Sunday at the 9 & 10:30 a.m. Masses and for many of the special Masses at the Cathedral. Try-outs are required.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Volunteers who take Communion to sick or home-bound parishioners.
Lectors
Volunteers who proclaim scriptures at Masses.
Ushers
Volunteers who assist with seating at weekend Masses and circulate collection baskets.
Diocesan Programs
Cursillo
Provides a nondenominational short course in Christianity and faith sharing at a three-day weekend retreat. Interested St. Eugene’s parishioners can call the parish office for more information.
Italian Catholic Federation
Sponsors a variety of activities ranging from social to service to spiritual. The St. Eugene’s chapter meets monthly, 1st Mondays, 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Knights of Columbus
A fraternal organization for Catholic men. The St Eugene’s Council of the Knights of Columbus and St. Rose Council of the Knights of Columbus have merged to form the Santa Rosa Council of the Knights of Columbus. They meet the second Wednesday of the month at St. Rose Parish. Please join the Knights by contacting Dan Hollingsworth at danholly.dh@gmail.com.
Respect Life
Sponsors pro-life education and spiritual activities. Meets at St. Eugene’s monthly, last Mondays, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
