Jubilee Year 2025
The year 2025 will be a special year in the Catholic Church. Every 25 years we have a jubilee year with special indulgences, prayers, and graces. Its roots are ultimately in the Old Testament Torah and it developed as a specifically Catholic practice in the later Middle Ages. Also, it is the 75th anniversary of the founding of our parish. Interestingly enough, the parish was founded on 1 July 1950, but dedicated in November of 1962. We will be celebrating a very special year indeed. To that end, we would like to create a Jubilee Committee to help plan and execute Jubilee events which will be liturgical and social. If you are interested, please email Fr. Brown at mbrown@srdiocese.org

Please come to the Parish office to find out the benefits of bulletin advertising and how to get started.

The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
As we look at the images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we notice many symbols: Flames, Rays of Light, Crown of Thorns, The Cross, The Open Wound. Each of these expresses some aspect of God’s love for us. Please click “Read More” for a short reflection on each.
